In his first studio album, A$AP Rocky proves that his critically acclaimed mixtapes and all the hype is worth it. The album kicks off with the single “Goldie” (which, as you recall, was my #1 rap song of 2012). The album continues with great tracks, seen in “PMW (All I Need).” But where the album really shines is when featured artists are involved. “F***in’ Problems” with Drake, 2 Chainz, and Kendrick Lamar is a standout as is the bonus track “I Come Apart” featuring Florence Welch from the indie band Florence and the Machine. The album is very well put together and is an early favorite for album of the year.
